So Meghan and I went to see Toad the Wet Sprocket at the VooDoo lounge last night. It was a lot of fun, I was surprised by a couple of the songs on the set list. One of those songs that is one of my favorites I've never heard them play live before, and from my understanding is a very uncommon song for them to play in concert, so I was really happy about that. We decided to stick around a little bit after the show just in case. Dean (the bassist) and Todd (the lead guitarist) came out, Dean was behind the merch booth doing autographs while Todd was more mingling, doing pictures and autographs, so we have a picture with us and Todd and both of their autographs on both our shirts. I was a little disappointed that Glen and Randy had not come out, mostly so Meghan could get their autograph, because I already have my copy of Dulcinea signed from back in 2003. Anyway, it was a fun night, ran in to some people that I was not surprised to see there. 2 comments | post a comment

I am looking for another player for my every other Friday 4e D&D campaign. Next theoretical game would be next Friday, but is not because of other things going on. But that is the schedule of it.
I don't feel my age. This is good since I am 30 now. Posted via LiveJournal.app. 9 comments | post a comment
Meghan and I are going to be parents! So Monday night, I'm sitting on my computer, just fiddling around, not doing anything important when Meghan comes marching downstairs and presents something in front of my nose. I blink a couple of times and stare, thinking "what am I looking at? Oh! a pregnancy test, ok, let's see, two solid lines mean..." and I go "Oh! really?" I stand up, kiss her and tell her I love her. We keep smiling at each other and I realize I need to go grocery shopping. The test she used was from a prior multipack, unexpired, and only a few months old. Meghan asks me to get another one though, from a different brand, and preferably a digital one. So I make my list and go grocery shopping and pick one up while I'm there. As I am on my way home, she text messages me asking where I'm at, because she has to go pee. When she doesn't get a response (because I'm driving and almost home) she calls me. To which I tell her where I am at. I get home a couple of minutes later, get inside with the groceries and hand her the box. She comes downstairs a few minutes later, and sure enough, another positive. So we agree she needs to schedule a doctor's appointment the next day. So she managed to get in yesterday and it is officially confirmed by blood test. 14 comments | post a comment
How does Friday the 23rd look for character creation for those of you interested? 3 comments | post a comment
Well I put our printer and my desktop on static ips finally. I bought some more D&D 4E stuff tonight too, got a small discount and a free item for it. I received the Card Protector of Doom™ Seriously this thing is made to protect those fold out maps that come with the pre-made adventures, and you can use wet erase markers with them. I'm also getting more serious about my at home software development stuff I've been doing, but the house has been a bit of a mess with my sister and her family staying with us for the weekend, once I get it cleaned up a bit I can start working on it again. Anyway, I have some more CDs to rip and I'm going to play with my iPod for a bit as well. See you all in the new year most likely. May it be better than this one before it. post a comment
I want to start a Friday Night D&D 4th Edition campaign at my house. Newbies are welcome. Also, we have cats just in case that matters. 11 comments | post a comment
The list of presents:
The bottles have been washed and sanitized. I bottle the stout tomorrow. This should be interesting since I've been putting it off for a good week and a half. Hope everyone is managing along. Peace. post a comment

I have a small collection of baseball/football/basketball cards from the early 90's. I don't want them, I don't really collect them, I'm trying to clear out things we just don't want or need. If someone wants to offer me money for them, that's fine, but I'm giving them away. Any takers? 2 comments | post a comment
Soon there will be a coachhouse looking workshop in this picture. This was made in Google SketchUp! Except for the applied textures, everything was pretty much "hand drawn".
I started to post a rant about greed and hubris given our current financial crisis. I was also going to make the comment about how I seem to internalize a lot of my thoughts on such matters. As I delve more in to it, I realize why I do it. Is greed genetic? I know a lot of material goods that I would like to own at some point, but I don't think it would take as much as some of these people make. If I did make that much money, I would use a lot of that money to the benefit of the whole world, by working towards sustainability and re-usability. post a comment
I really, really want to start a 4E D&D game at my house any night of the week except Sundays (I'm leaning towards Saturdays, but I'm open). Any takers? 4 comments | post a comment
